 As a part of departmental outreach activity, Department of Periodontology, Indira Gandhi Insitute of Dental Sciences, Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth, organized and conducted an oral and periodontal health screening camp at Government Higher Secondary School, Abhishekapakkam, Puducherry, on 18th September 2018 between 9 AM to 2 PM. Dr Vineela Katam Reddy, Reader, Dr Jannani, Senior Lecturer and Dr Sakthi Devi S, Senior Lecturer, Department of Periodontology, along with 10 CRRI and 1 postgraduate student actively participated in the screening camp. A total of 253 were screened for the oral and periodontal health status of which 232 were students and the remaining 21 comprised of general public and teachers. Oral hygiene instructions and pamphlets with other instructions were distributed. Free medicines were given to patients when in need. Camp referral cards were given to the patients for availing periodontal services at Indira Gandhi Institue of Dental Sciences, Puducherry.
