For the fourth consecutive year, a team of 30 consisting of 4 Faculties, 21 CRRI and 5 Paramedical staffs actively conducted Chettinad Oral Health Program 2016 from 28th to 30th November 2016 at various places of Sivagangai District. On 28th November, the program was organized by Vallal Mena Hospital at Rani Mahal, Puliyal Village, Devakottai. On 29th November 2016, Nattarasan Kottai Nagarathar Sangam organized a Comprehensive Oral Health Camp at Nagarathar Kalyana Mahal, Nattarasan Kottai, Sivangangai District.
On 30th November 2016, Arputha foundation organized the dental camp at M.V. Govt. Hr. Sec. School, Muthupattinam, Karaikudi. A total of 1554 general public and school children were screened for various oral health related problems in 3 days in 3 places. A total of 1589 treatments comprising of 264 extractions, 699 restorations and 626 scaling were done to the beneficiaries. Dental Health packs containing tooth brush and tooth paste were distributed to all. Oral health education was delivered to school children and health education aids were donated in the program.
