 On the 20th February at 10:00am, the sports events were inaugurated by the Prof K R Sethuraman, Vice Chancellor, SBV, along with Prof Carounanidy Usha, Dean, IGIDS. The program took place in front of the IGIDS new block. The students and faculty from the blue, brown, green, purple, red and yellow houses assembled to witness the inauguration. The captains of each house were called upon and their respective flags were given to them. The enthusiastic crowd cheered as the captains installed their flags at the college entrance. Vice chancellor, SBV, inaugurated the carom match and gave a brief speech to motivate student participation. He further added about the enthusiasm of the students of IGIDS and was pleased with the house system, which brings good spirit to the college as a whole. The program was well organized by the sports committee who provided all the necessary equipments.
